jennlhp 39 Posted August 29, 2012 So was the surgery terrible? I'm looking for reassurance (hopefully). I'm so scared. And to top it off, a poor woman posted a horror story on my wall, so I'm even more freaked out now. 1 A Sleeve4me reacted to this
candigurlinwa 6 Posted August 29, 2012 Shanbutler - I was sleeved on 8/23 too and have not lost any weight and I have been eating the exact same things. Today I got to start adding full liquids. My Tomato Soup for lunch tasted like heaven. I am hoping the Water weight from the surgery will start to go.....
Curvy Girl 140 Posted August 29, 2012 I haven't really weighed myself until yesterday....I was down 5 lbs...The surgery was quick...before I knew it I was out. They had to repair a hernia they found. I don't know if that is why I was feeling horrible the first day...but I had that what did I do feeling. By the next day I was off Morphine and feeling better. By the third day I was feeling ALOT better. Today I am five days out and feel great. I've been walking and the only problem is I want real food. But I count my days to the day I can have it....there is a little food remorse because I won't be able to hit the buffet like before but honestly no one should hit the buffet like I used to!!! It is definitely a life style change and I'm only one week into it!!!

candigurlinwa 6 Posted August 29, 2012 How was surgery ladies? I'm scheduled for September in the middle of a semester of college only 2 hours 3 days a week do you think I could be back to class in a week? God wiling Yes! I had my surgery in Puerto Vallarta and got back to Seattle yesterday. It will be a week for me and I plan on going back to work no problem. At no point for me would I say I was really ever in pain. However days 1 - 3 there is a lot of discomfort as your body rapidly adjusts. Also, I had drain tubes in until yesterday and they were really uncomfortable. The minute I got them out (which did hurt to me) I felt like a million bucks. Each day is a little better.
candigurlinwa 6 Posted August 29, 2012 Glad to hear I'm not the only one. What did you get to add to your diet I went from Clear liquids to full liquids so I added creamy Soups, yogurt, Protein shakes, sugar free pudding. At two weeks I get soft foods and at 30 days full menu. I spent 15 minutes at the grocery store today studying all the different Soups.< /p> Looking forward to following your journey since we have the same surgery dates. I had my surgery in Puerto Vallarta and brought a friend to help me. She would order room service and I would just about die watching her eat all this delicious resort food.
