Dooter 1,457 Posted August 27, 2012 I've been very concerned about these strange, hard lumpy things under my skin. Some are bumpy and growth-like. Some are long and more smooth. They've been appearing more and more as the days go by. They seem to have something to do with body structure....Oh wait........what?? My husband informs me that these are called "bones." Is anyone else finding weird stuff like this? 10 NurseJenn, Frza, traceyc and 7 others reacted to this

Sassygirl06 962 Posted August 27, 2012 haha! I had that problem when I was laying in the bath....I saw my ribs sticking out and I thought I had some growths going on. I laughed histerically when I realized what they were.

Marty McSkinnystein 342 Posted August 28, 2012 I actually do have a couple lipomas (fatty benign growths) under the skin. I have one on the side of my arm that you can't really see but now that the fat is coming off that's becoming visible. I had a benign thyroid nodule that I found years ago after losing weight because it was more visible on my neck. I think the only benefit to being fat is less damage if you fall down the steps- with all the padding. Had it happen- no problem. Ooh, actually that's a funny story. I was going up the steps and said "Stupid, (actually didn't say that) why don't you put your coffee cup right here in the middle of the steps so on your way down you won't forget it?" What do you know, I'm coming down the steps, forget about the cup and get my toes stuck in the cup and go sailing down. coffee is all over the walls, steps, me, and I'm pulling my foot out of a cup. It really was funny, ..especially since I didn't break any bones because of my fat. 3 Dooter, viana1 and ShouldBlittler reacted to this
ashleyxx 277 Posted August 28, 2012 It's so weird to be able to feel bones you were once never able too! I love that my collar bones are starting to show. 1 Dooter reacted to this
