Paula12 15 Posted August 27, 2012 Why go to another country when we have such excellent surgeons right here??? I don't understand....
bikerchick519 202 Posted August 27, 2012 I'm from the Kansas City area but I was sleeved last November. Good luck to you. Paula12, we go to Mexico because our insurance doesn't pay and when you are self pay, it's about 1/3 of the price there. I had the best surgeon you could ask for and I would do it all again. chum 19 Posted August 27, 2012 It's due to self pay. I've been denied by my insurance, so in order to be able to do it and afford it I've researched Dr.s in Mexico. This site has reassured be beyond belief!! I also had a friend who went to Mexico and had it done and did great and looks great! :0)

O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted August 27, 2012 Why go to another country when we have such excellent surgeons right here??? I don't understand.... There are many reasons. Money being one, another huge one is experience, top Mexican doctors have been doing this procedure for years. They have the experience of performing thousands of these surgeries. Not to mention the care you get at the better Mexican facilities is much more attentive. I can say that I prefer going to Mexico. It was a great experience for me. bikerchick519 202 Posted August 27, 2012 A lot of insurance companies will pay, it was my employer that has an exclusionary clause against any weight loss surgery. My surgeon also had a lot more experience than any of the surgeons in this area. I got a lot more personalized treatment there as well.
