I am 13 weeks out. For the most part, my journey has gone really well and I am loving my sleeve.

Over the past couple of weeks I have started having issues with dinner. I call it dinner because I eat it at dinner time but really the food is no different than I would have at any other time of day. So I know this isn't a food issue. But what I am finding is that I am losing my dinner more often than not. I eat, then within a few minutes I start getting nausea and before I know it I am surrendering my dinner to the great porcelain bowl in the bathroom.

I have been trying to work out what I am doing different at dinner time than any other time of day and I am drawing a blank.

Any ideas, suggestions or similar experiences?

Reverse morning sickness? It's always opposite day somewhere. ;)

Are you taking an acid reducer/PPI before dinner? Try that out. You could also ask the doc for some anti-nausea meds, take them in the evening as well.

LOL! Oh no no no! When your youngest has just turned 21 the thought of a new one is enough to make you run screaming from the room! Plus, tHe hubby has been snipped ;-)

I am taking omen razor first thing in the morning and last thing at night and never thought of shifting the night one before dinner, good idea! I will give that a try.

What about the quantity of your food at dinner? Too much will definitely have you hanging your head over the bowl.

This might sound crazy, but rather than eating food, why don't you try a Protein Shake for "dinner". Maybe your sleeve is agitated from working on food during the day, and needs something easier to work on later in the day. Remember, your sleeve is really still healing...you may need to be a little more gentle with it sometimes. :)

I was prescribed Prilosec to take every day for 6 months after surgery. I never in my life had indigestion, heartburn or reflux. I hate taking pills that I don't need, but maybe taking this has made it so I never had to experience the nausea and vomiting. I do worry that my food intake is not enough to sustain a healthy body. My bloodwork came back excellent, so I guess what I am consuming is enough. I eat only a few fork fulls per meal and drink a few Protein Shakes daily. Good luck. Hopefully this is only a very temporary problem.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
