Low-fat cheese wasn't on my program list until week 3. I quit buying cheese, though. I still love the taste, too easy to eat too much.

String cheese and low fat cheese is on my mushy food options. String cheese has 7 grams of protein!!

Yes. I know I shouldn't have it. I'll grab a sugar free Popsicle. I am not on puréed until 9/7. I'm just wanting something different.

try a sugar free fudgesicle. or some Jello, or pudding. that helped me :)

When you do get around to trying string cheese, Weight Watchers low-fat string cheese is quite good. :)

Mini BabyBel Lights by Laughing Cow. They're in a mesh bag and are individually wrapped in wax. They are soft, only 50-cals but 8 gm of Protein. They are easier on me than the string cheese and taste better too.

I tried both of those, and they both taste good. Too good, so I quit buying it. I just can't control my cheese habit, I end up eating at least 2-3 per day, if not 4-6.

I totally understand, CO! The only cheese I've had since my surgery is Laughing Cow spreadable low-fat Swiss....in part because I don't trust my ability to manage the amount of other cheeses I'd eat. Cheese has long been a major love of mine.....and a major contributor of calories! :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
