No Outside Food Allowed

Recommended Posts

I have a moderately large purse I carry with me sometimes. It has tons of pockets and I can hide quite a variety of small bags of my "snacks." If I am going to one of those places that searches your bag, I have found that I can hide Snacks in a makeup bag under the tampons! No security guard EVER searches through those!!!

There are some places that frisk you for food. I swear I could have a knife and an apple in my bag and they would confiscate my apple! That's how it is at a local Water park.

I like the note from your doctor for those outside food nazis. Wouldn't it be great if we could have "permission to bring own food" on a medi-alert Bracelet? !

Yes, this is how it's done. At the high school sporting events, there is a bag check. All food and drinks are discarded unless you return them to your car. And security (off duty LA.PD officers) are there making sure everything runs smoothly. The gates are operated by staff only. Never kids... Welcome to L.A.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
