smb 75 Posted August 25, 2012 My surgery is Aug 29th and I've been doing well on the pre-op liquid low carb diet. It hasn't been all liquid but I'm down 11lbs so far so I'll take it. But tomorrow is my daughter's 3rd birthday and we're having a family party. I purposely ordered food so I didn't have to cook, and I got food I'm not wild about so I'm less tempted. I'm dying to break into the potato chips, though. I admit it. GAAAAH wish me luck 2 zebrasprinkles and mrscastillo reacted to this

You didnt come this far to be turned away now because of a daggon potato chip pumping up the liver LOL Safety comes first and you definitely want to have a safe procedure..later for those chips! smb 75 Posted August 25, 2012 Thanks you guys, you are right. I came this far, I'm not going to mess it up now. Nobody in my family knows except my husband and cousin. I didn't even tell my best friend. 3 Izuri, mrscastillo and zebrasprinkles reacted to this

I didn't even tell my best friend. I know how that is, I just recently told my bestfriend.. she took it okay, she's just more worried about me than anything. She would be an excellent candidate for the op as well. And that's right, stay positive I know how hard that can be during this time but you can do it! smb 75 Posted August 25, 2012 It's very eye-opening, this experience. My husband went to the store now, so here I am alone filling the pinata with candy. Normally I'd start eating the pieces I kept aside as soon as he was gone. In fact, as soon as he left I went to the fridge to see what I could eat without police watching me. Then I remembered... I AM being held accountable for this. So I "snuck" a string cheese and some SF Jello.

Izuri 428 Posted August 25, 2012 Good healthy choice, it must have been hard with all that candy near you! Look how strong you are already having all that willpower - you can do this!! Before you know it the pre-op will be over and you'll be so proud of yourself for doing so well on it. 1 zebrasprinkles reacted to this
