75 grams of Protein? ? I had the same problem when I was doing my diet. I think it is from lack of sugar and no food.

Thanks. I hope things go well for you!!

I'm told the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury is fantastic. They have a sampler pack too that comes with two packets of each flavor, a food thermometer nd mixing bottle.

YES the Unjury chicken Soup saved my taste buds life when it came in the mail while on my liquid diet! It had alot of flavor and made you feel like you were cheating, not to mention the benefit of the 21 grams of Protein per serving! They deliver pretty fast as well so get it now!!

Now that I have 2.5 months behind me, I get so excited for others who are about to have the surgery!!! Such a great decision for me and I don't regret it a bit. I am still learning what I can and can't eat. I lost 30 pounds prior to surgery and my doctor was thrilled. The first two weeks I did a shake in the morning, a shake at lunch, and a mcdonalds grilled south west salad for dinner. One week before surgery I gave up everything but the shakes but did eat popsickles which saved the day for me! lol You can do this! Your mind will tell you you can't - but we are all here to tell you YOU CAN!!!!! Keep writing and reaching our for support!!!!!

Make sure you ladies stick with the Protein...I started slacking on them towards the end because I got tired of them' date=' and I started getting hungry again. Atkins Advantage shakes are creamy and delicious but I had a bowel movement after each shake LOL (TMI but it's the truth!)[/quote']

I agree Atkins Advantage are my fav too! I mean they taste really good!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
