That is an awesome story. I am the same way with my hubby...we have been married almost 17 years.

definatly happy! we are celebrating our 18 year anniversary on the 20th of september. we make sure to act like we are dating, and not just like we are married and have kids. its important to keep dating even after you have kids and are married! :)

and wait till they're gone, it is soooo fun if you have a good marriage! We celebrated 33 years last month. We love to hang out, we still hold hands and he opens the car door for me. I think sex is better and more fun since I lost weight, but we had a happy marriage and everything was GOOD before.

sex is much better now :D

I had reached that phase of being over weight where we could only do one position before.....and had to have lights off.....now that is no longer a problem! ;)

Here's my Wal-Mart story--- probably been going on for a few months, but I only realized it yesterday:

I no longer have to head for the "handicapped" stall in the restroom. I can close and open the regular stall door easily without having to compress myself against the toilet!!! An unusual NSV!!!

I didnt even think of that one. it was just me on auto pilot I guess. now that I think of it, I believe that this is something I still just do...go into the handicapped stall....I bet everyone who is in the bathroom just thinks I am an inconsiderate "B".......I guess I better stop using those bathrooms! :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
