I Want To Lose More

So far I lost 22 pounds I'm now 249 I want.to be 230 wen I start school next month Idk what I'm doing wrong that I'm not losing weight quickly I'm even excersise what going on it has been 3 weeks already feel like I'm stalling and getting real disappointed

What should I.do

When was your surgery? If I'm reading right you've lost 22 pounds in 3 weeks which is awesome.

three week stall.....happens to almost all!

its not magic, it wont just disappear. you will get there, but you shouldnt worry about how quick you lose it, some of us take a while to see that scale move....and btw 22 pounds is a great number! :)

U correct I just want to be 230 220 betime school start next.month I been excersing so I'm like move scale move

I feel the same way

i went to the nut the other day

she said that if im not eating enough calories then my body will hold on to the calories

its like your body may be in a starvation mode

how many calories are you eating? if you are exercising make sure you are eating as well

I got sleeved 4/23 and I've lost 60lbs. I've hit 3 or 4 stalls. I lose when I eat more rather then less. I don't exercise like I should be. Having the I want to lose faster attitude is just going to make you discouraged. You'll lose when your bodies ready don't try to force it. It really doesn't work

I have a goal to be under 200 before my bday which is November I hope I do I'm not getting a lot of calories today I started drinking a lot of Water. It so hard . But had I believe 6 bottles of Water ummm. My calories diet is like 300 I don't really get hungry I no I need to eat tomorrow I.will have.tuna for lunch and dinner wirh my Protein shake for Breakfast I try to do 30 minutes of cardio trying to get my strength back it just hard I use to be strong now 5 pound weights is heavy to me lol

Really don't have calories I don't really eat

But tomorrow imma try to eat 2 meals then none

I exercise a lot everyday now I just had to eat more

Yeah your not going to lose anything but muscle and your hair if your only eating 300 calories a day.

Im 24 and I thought I wasn't going to be the one to lose hair after surgery but about 3 weeks ago I started to. Im convinced its from malnutrition

The point of the surgery is to be healthier. Try eating higher calorie foods or just stop counting calories. This is why your losing nothing

When we starve ourselves the body chooses to burn muscle before fat. You are doing yourself no favours by not eating.

Choose wisely. Eat. This is a tool not a magic wand. It is still up to you to make the right choices and right now, you are failing at making those choices.

Protein. Eat Protein first Fluids. Get them in. Don't drink while you eat. Take your Vitamins.

It is a pretty simple formula. Stick to it and you will succeed. Try to cheat it and you will suffer unintended consequences.

Just do the right thing here and you will find your weight loss will occur when you work with your body, work with your sleeve, rather than try and fight it, cheat it or starve it.

I don't want to upset anyone and I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, but I really think you're doing yourself and your body a disservice by giving yourself such large strict goals scale wise. I know that weight loss is increased with the sleeve, but it's hard to really predict how our bodies are going to react.

Even if you reach November and you haven't lost down to 200 pounds, it will not mean that you're not successful. I hope that you reach it too, but if you eat right and follow the plan your body will lose at a rate that is healthy for it, and that's far more important than reaching a specific weight goal. You don't want to starve your body, because in the end you will just be hurting yourself and killing your metabolism. Your body is not your enemy and you're stuck with it - treat it right. It sounds like you are super low on calories. Are you reaching your target Protein? Fluids? I would just focus on those and get in some movement and everything else will fall into place. You didn't put the weight on over a few months, it's not necessarily just going to fall off in a few months.

I am about 4 weeks or so out and I've been in a stall for 2 weeks. Our bodies stall, that's what they do. Don't be mad at it, don't cut your calories, just make sure you're following the plan. If you don't, you could end up actually making your stall worse. Our bodies are trained to go into a crisis mode when they are starved and want to hold everything in. Stalls are frustrating, but they're a part of life we just have to deal with.

Anyway, I don't know if you'll be 200 in November, but if you do the work and get healthy, I do believe that you will be successful, healthier, and happier in November.

Don't cut your calories. You need the calories to fuel your muscles. Keep working out and the scale will eventually move. I had a 3 1/2 week long stall and called my nutritionist and he said to "just keep doing it" and it would happen. He was right. In the past week, my body has figured out that I am not trying to starve it to death and I dropped from 275 on August 17th to 264 today.

Be healthy with this surgery! Don't set unrealistic goals. Don't try and set unrealistic calorie levels either. You will fail and you did this to succeed!!!!

if you arent eating enough Protein and calories u will not lose. u MUST get in your protein especially when you're exercising. everyone stalls and thinks it will last forever and it doesn't, but if you are starving your body it will hold onto the fat and thats why you have to be getting in that protein and calories. i am 13 months post op and down 120 pounds and i also wanted to be farther along by now, but its not up to me its up to my body and i have to be patient and know i am doing all that i can. bump up that protein!!

Yea I don't count calories I just can't eat much.doctor said it till tight I will have tuna and spinach today for lunch and tuna for dinner with crackers and.have more.water.blender broke today so got to eat. I'm staring to take my muti Vitamin tomo tired of.crushing it. I wil try hard to eat

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
