Malisima69 27 Posted September 18, 2012 Hi everyone! I've already "announced" myself with surgery date of 10/2. Very excited' date=' scared, you know the feeling. So many of you are posting about fantastic pre-surgery diets, exercise programs and weight loss and I am eating like there's no tomorrow. What is wrong with me?!? I am about to embark on a lifelong journey of eating right and I can't get myself to commit to eating right today. Maybe it's food funerals, maybe it's addiction, but I have never felt so out of control with my eating! Is anyone else having the same issues? I'm so terrified that this isn't going to work. I felt like it was a sure thing and then I started reading about people gaining 50, 100 pounds back or losing 40 pounds and nothing more. I can't be that person... But I also know I can't be the person who works out 7 days a week. I know I can do this, I am a smart person and I can do anything I put my mind to - I just need the tool to help me do it. Sorry for the rambling, I guess it helps just to say it to someone and get these feelings off my chest. Thanks for listening :-)[/quote'] That's one reason we are here, to listen to you vent. Another reason is to grasp the positive vibes. Don't dwell on the negative. God will walk you through your journey. You can do it! With Him ALL things are possible:-)
Malisima69 27 Posted September 18, 2012 My insurance had changed its policy so I was going to have to wait and do the 6 month diet but since I already had all my requirements met they pushed me up a month!! THANK YOU JESUS!!! Amen!!!

For me, it was the best thing I have ever done! Praying for all of you to have a speedy recovery! I'm 53, married (32 years) I have 4 grown children & 1 granddaughter. My highest weight was 250 lbs. & I'm 5'4"... Everyone at my house eats so much healthier now, because I only cook what I can eat. LOL!!![/quote'] Love this... thanks for the encouragement... God bless you and family!
Malisima69 27 Posted September 18, 2012 Hi all' date='My name is Mia 29 y.o.and I am getting sleeved on October 30 in Mexico with Dr. Mario Almanza. I have no kids, I am single. I work at Psychiatric Hospital with kids and also as an Administrative Assistant at a non-profit organization. I am extremely excited about the upcoming changes in my life. There was a time when I was ready to give up, and realize that this was never going to happen for me. I noticed though that instead of me looking for it, it found me. I often think about all the sacrifices we do in life just to be happier and to live a longer healthy life. I know that while going through this process we all will face obstacles but those obstacles are only there to make us realize and see that we are stronger beyond measure. To me this is a challenge, a challenge that I will at the end will win. I might have lost the battle a long time ago, but I am definitely winning the war this time around. [/quote'] Amen, Praise the Lord!!!

Kalimomof3 613 Posted September 18, 2012 So I have some large who ha's and wondering of there is anyway to get one incision. I didn't even think of that Lol, I have some large Ta-tas too and wa thinking the same thing.. I just wonder if it adds more risk to the surgery to do everything through one incision... I know I will need to ask whoever ends up being my surgeon a lot of questions and doing research. I am also curious if they could use the same entry points I had from a previous surgery?? Kalimomof3 613 Posted September 18, 2012 I have been waiting for almost eight months for mine. I finally got the ok from the insurance five days ago. I scheduled the surgery two weeks from tomorrow. I start my new diet tomorrow. Recently everything has been moving so fast. I'm really excited and scarred at the same time. I'm 5'1 and weigh 200 pounds. To many it might be crazy that I'm doing a sleeve but they only see the 200 and not the fact that I'm short' date=' really short for the weight. I really do not have anybody to share what I'm feeling so I'm glad I found this forum. Schedule date for the surgery is Oct 2. Does anyone have any good shakes that they recommend?[/quote'] I am 220ish and just under 5'3 and people say surgery is too extreme bc I am not "that big" . I tell them that I weigh the same as my husband who is 6'2 and looks like he could be a football player and they are surprised. Then I tell them about my sleep apnea and hypertension and they go quiet lol. That is how I got approved by my insurance , I also have hypertension and sleep apnea. My BMI is only 35 but I still want to improve my health. Getting thinner is just a plus. I start my diet tomorrow and I'm scared that I will back out.
