JazzyJ 34 Posted October 15, 2012 I am also day 6 postop. No pain, nausea or other issues. Making my Protein goal (it takes awhile) and fluid goals. I feel like I am constantly sipping something and am full. But otherwise feel pretty darn good!

Aimstergal 42 Posted October 16, 2012 SO FRUSTRATED!!! been at the hospital since 11. I was supposed to be operated on at 2:30. At 3:00 they took me to pre op and put the iv in. That was 3 HOURS AGO!!! They cancelled all the surgeries after mine and they are still doing mine. I've been on Clear Liquids Friday thru Sunday and have had NOTHING since 9:00 last night. I'm anxious enough and this is driving me crazy!!
JazzyJ 34 Posted October 16, 2012 All the stuff I drank b4 make me nausea.....how'd u shake it? I switched Protein powders to something that wasn't as intense and has 21 g. Also using almond milk instead of skim milk. Definitely hurts if I drink too fast though!
geewalk 31 Posted October 16, 2012 Questii. I was sleeved on the 10th. I feel good, liquids going down well having a problem getting the Protein. I'm on full liquids for the next two weeks. I'm having violent chills, I'm cold to the bone. Then I will have a sweat. Is anyone having problems with chills. I check my temp and it normal.
tbnote71 13 Posted October 16, 2012 Well, Wednesday will be here before I know it. I have been on a liquid diet since Friday and just blew it. I ate 3 townhouse crackers! I am so mad at myself, but my stomach was rumbling terrible and I was feeling nauseas. I hope it didn't effect much. My nerves are really starting to get to me. Really looking forward to the mag citrate tomorrow. NOT! Good Luck to my fellow 10/17 sleevers.

I used to sleep in a tank top all winter long because I couldn't tolerate tee shirt collars or sleeves. Now I sleep under covers head to toe, in my furry robe. Done Did It! NDN_RN 527 Posted October 16, 2012 So it normal to be cold? Will it stay this way? I was told that after sleeving, you cold tolerance would definitely decrease. No idea what the science is to this. Done Did It!

chad2rad 491 Posted October 16, 2012 Oops! Hit the send button too fast! Just wanted to give everyone an idea of what the scars look like. I will be 2 weeks post op ok Tuesday. The first picture is of my largest incision (where I believe they took my stomach out of) and the 2nd is of my overall abdominal area. I do plan on using scar cream..although from the looks of it I may not need it You are healing great. You really inspire me. Thanks for your positive energy. 1 SkinnyMinnie2Be reacted to this
allnewme 262 Posted October 16, 2012 For all who had VS already, do you think if my friend has a surgery on Monday she will be able to go sight seeing for a few hours on Thursday? I shopped after my surgery in August. You do not want to lie in bed, it feels better to get out and move around. You may not want to count on her being out for long periods of time but 2 to 3 hours at a time, with places to sit and time to drink some fluids, she should be OK. I had a very easy recovery, was sleeved in MX and flew home 3 days after surgery. Once I got home I felt much more weak and tired than right after surgery.
