NDN_RN 527 Posted September 22, 2012 I hate shoes! If I could wear flip flops all year I would! I'm seeing my doctor on Wednesday and hoping for an October date. I'm glad it's happening after the summer' date=' my friend had hers in July and was miserable! I definitely prefer cooler weather. Plus, when spring comes around we'll all look sexy enough to wear those cute sun dresses![/quote'] Mee too! Just Do It!!!
SleeveandRNYchica 1,155 Posted September 22, 2012 Glad everyone is doing well in preparation for our upcoming dates. I am keeping myself busy today by getting ready for the yard sale on Wednesday. It is held at work. It is great timing since we will be moving back to the USA next summer. Plus I can clean up and get organized pre-surgery. I thought pre-op would be difficult today, but it has not been. I also have a massage appointment for this afternoon. Once I get past this weekend pre-op next weekend will be a breeze. I am almost 7lbs down. I think that is awesome considering it is less than a week on pre-op!
SkinnyMinnie2Be 255 Posted September 22, 2012 Of course Murphy's law has it out for me. Woke up this morning with a cold hope it goes away by surgery day. Been fighting it tooth and nail! Vitamin C, lots of Fluid, taking my sinus cold meds..any other tips people?

I need to get in the attic and pull down the warmer clothes for kids and me. My BFF is coming next weekend to cook and freeze meals for the family. I think we are on our way! Just Do It!!! 1 SleeveandRNYchica reacted to this
brandy79 39 Posted September 22, 2012 Today is day 2 of pre-op diet and it is much better. Yesterday got so bad my emotions were even out of whack. Today I feel good. Hope it keeps getting easier. I admit that while I changed some of my habits before I was officially approved I did not follow everything because I was afraid my insurance would deny it if I lost weight. You know the whole "see you can do it if you try" kind of thing. I can do it initially I just have a hard time sticking with it, but I think that is a lot of people. Going to buy my "motivation" dress today. It is this sexy little sun dress I want to wear when we go to Jamaica next June.

My BFF is coming next weekend to cook and freeze meals for the family. I think we are on our way! Just Do It!!! That is awesome that you have a friend to do that for you. I have to say I am spoiled. Our Nanny/Housekeeper has been making all our Soups during this pre-op phase. She leaves on Saturday's and she made us soap for today and tomorrow. It has really made this process stress free. I just tell her what kind I want. My pre-op phase is not just broth. I can have chicken, shrimp, or beef as long as it is liquefied and strained. i have to say I am thankful for that. So all I have to worry about is what I am feeding my 6 year old. Hubs is eating Soup with me.

I've got lists of stuff to buy before surgery, things to do around the house before, I've got my clothes separated out by size. I don't have many different sizes, my weight gain was so gradual I don't have much but I hit up a goodwill and got 10 pairs of pants and 15 shirts in various sizes for under 40 dollars in this crazy sale. I just need a date!
Susan 2.0 278 Posted September 22, 2012 Wow' date=' good for you. Glad you had a great time. [/quote'] And apparently he did, too, because he's called & asked me to dinner tonight! He decided to forego the overnight stay at the beach & will be back here in a few hours to whisk me off to the Angus Barn. Now I'm glad I *haven't* had surgery yet so I can enjoy an award-winning chef's steak tonight. Guess we'll call this my "food funeral last steak." 1 NDN_RN reacted to this

auggie 12 Posted September 22, 2012 Hi everyone, I am scheduled with Dr. Ortiz in Mexico on October 8. I am having revision surgery and am one week into my pre op diet. I am a guy, 45, currently weighing in at 220. I lost almost 80lbs with my lap band and then when I was only 10 lbs from my goal it started acting up. My weight has been on the rise since. I am looking forward to reversing the weight gain and finally reaching my goal.
