Banned member 320 Posted September 17, 2012 I don't have a pre-op diet but 2 days before surgery I will have to drink Clear Liquids but if I get too hungry they said I can have a Protein Shake. The magnesium that I have to take the day before surgery will make me crap my brains out. I'm not looking forward to the magnesium and I heard it taste awful. My surgeon has been asking me what type of incision (5 incisions or 1 incision through the belly button). I plan to just have them go through my belly button because then I will only have to worry about 1 incision healing. He says it's mostly about anesthetics but he says the decision is up to me. Banned member 320 Posted September 17, 2012 I'm having the vsg on the Fort Carson Army base. He said the recovery tends to be easier. I have large breast and he said with the 5 incisions I would have a incision at the top of my tummy and I figured that would suck because my boobs rest on my belly where the incision would be. He's done several single incision surgeries and I'm confident that I wont have any problems. Plus he said that none of them developed hernias, so I'm confident that I more than likely wont either.
