carriecat 12 Posted August 24, 2012 So, pre-surgery, I lived on Motrin 600 or Motrin 800 for cramps. My cramps have always been horrible. Well, now I can't take any motrin. Tylenol has really never helped me with any pain relief. What do you use????? Thanks!
ReeTee 14 Posted August 24, 2012 Oh yes me to i took 2 800 mg of motrin every 4 hrs before surgery last week i was crying and that is the week right after surgery i had female time. I called my gyn office that was a game of phone tag so the next day i dragged myself to primary dr office they had the nerve to tell me oh get childrens tylenol...EXCUSE ME!!!! Are you not listening nothing works but motrin 800 two of them. Oh okay another choice we can do for you is a shot of toradol. I said ok how long will that last he said two day. And oh my gosh it worked!!! But i will have a talk with my gyn cause i refuse to have to get a shot every time then have to suffer until the time i can get to office for the shot
Izuri 428 Posted August 24, 2012 You could call your doctor - sometimes they can prescribe something like toradol for short term. I know I had a shot of it a while back when I was having problems with headaches and it helped a lot. Also heating pad/ice pack/exercise (though I know that's the farthest thing from my mind this time of month!)/warm bath. I hope you feel better!
