So...... as I have stated in several previous topics, I have been nauseated since I left the hospital 5 weeks ago. I have been taking chewable bariatric Vitamins everyday, twice a day. I was halso having nausea from morning to night. This pass Tuesday I did not take my Vitamin because I was already having a issue with taste and I just could not stand the the thought of chewing one up so I skipped it for 2 days. I WAS NOT NAUSEATED ON TUES AND WED! Not thinking I took my vitamin yesterday and I was sick all day. I FOUND THE CULPRIT! So now I am on a hunt for a new vitamin. I was taking my vitamin after I eat so I was not taking it on a empty stomach by the way. Anyway just want you to give you a update! Any suggestions on what you take would be very helpful. Thanks!

gummi Vitamins. Even those can get you nauseous, but less likely.

I also have issues with Vitamins making me nauseous. I use Centrum Chewables...they are orange flavored and I nibble a little at a time after I have my Protein shake.

Hope this helps.

I wonder if sugar content is part of it? I use Bariatric Advantage no issues.

Flintstone Complete Chewables! They seem to be the favorite with patients at my surgeon's office, I have no trouble with them.

Good luck!

You can try with food or change completely. I did the Centrum chewables and the costco gummys at first, now I take Costo multi's, 2 times a day...no issues.

I had this same issue. I switched to Centrum chewables and they are great, no nausea at all.

I take Adult gummies from Puritan's Pride. They have some added Fiber to them and they taste good. Nice thing about Puritan's Pride is that they constantly have deals where you can get 2 or 3 bottles for the cost of one.

I use Flintstones Complete, and have had no problems. Check with your surgeon before taking "gummy" vitamins...."gummy" anything is on my forbidden list. (If you don't understand why, put a Gummy bear in a glass of Water and see what happens!!). Best of luck to you.

My nut says gummy vitamins do not have enough Iron. She is going to let me know when she can find one that has enough. What kind do you take?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
