Isopure

Recommended Posts

I personally don't like the dry feeling that Isopure leaves behind. But I have several friends that enjoy the Alpine Punch flavor.

The Isopure powder is crap. Well actually it's really good (numbers-wise), but it tastes horrible. All flavors. Regardless of what you mix it in. I'm declaring that as 100% truth, no exceptions. ;)

The Isopure RTDs are mostly gross, but the "grape frost" with a bit of grape drink mix added in tastes like - grape kool-aid that leaves your mouth slightly dry. I've tried most of the flavors and it's by far the least offensive. I don't mind drinking it at all. I have the orange-something one in my fridge at home... haven't tried it yet. The apple-melon is ridiculously gross.

I love the Isopure Cookies and Cream, it is sweet but I like it, it taste like a vanilla shake to me, it mixes well without grit or aftertaste, the Dutch chocolate is great also also (in my opinon) I even use Torani sugarless syrups in my Dutch chocolate to make a rasberry/choco shake and for me its delicious. I haven't tried any of the other flavors (shakes) though.

The Isopure drinks though I found disgusting they all tasted like bone to me and made me gag.

Other people did not like Isopure for a number of reasons of which I did not experience like aftertaste of the whey Protein, Grittiness, Thickness, I did not have any of these issues with Isopure and it gives me my full Protein for the day (mixed with Skim Plus Milk) and I have been using it since prior to my surgery.

Everybody's tastes are different because I have tried Muscle Milk which I found disgusting and alot of people on this site found it great, this goes also for the Atkins shake and unjury etc. So you really are going to have to find out for yourself by trial and error on what you like because you will get a million different answers here.

Best of Luck and Well Wishes!! :D

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
