I need some meal ideas..I am so burnt out on everything I've had so far. chicken has been my go to food, but I need different things or different ways to cook chicken?

I'm 5 weeks and 2 days post op, so I can eat solids now. Any ideas? I really want the weight to start coming off more! I think my stall just broke, down 3 more lbs but I want more to come off! Thanks!

Gastricsleeve4me - not sure of the website name, but it is a blog with some great recipes. She is also a member of this forum.

Also, google "the world according to eggface" she has good stuff too.

My family practically lives off the Emilybites meals. I never knew that healthy food didn't have to suck. These are my go to recipe sites. Many of the meals are good for non-ops too. My wife is non-op and has lost 51 pounds since April this year eating from these recipes. And I'm down 105 now.

Good luck

Especially look at the "cupcake meals" on Emilybites. They are really good. 1 cupcake will either make a whole meal for a newly sleeved person, or be more than you can eat. My non-op wife and I have some form of cupcake meal for lunch everyday. I spend an hour on Sunday baking them, then we have lunch all week long and don't have to think about it. I either pop them in the microwave for 45 seconds, or if I'm in a hurry or on the road, they're even good cold.

Good luck

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
