Got My Sleeve Date!

78 days and counting - I'll be sleeved on Nov 9! 11.5 weeks from today...

I have to do one week of pre-op diet (yuck - three Protein Shakes per day), and then my surgeon's post op is Clear liquids for first two days, Protein starting on day 3, and real food starting after 3 weeks.

In the mean time, in the interest of being able to fit in the clothes I currently own, I'm trying to follow my version of low carb/clean(ish) eating - meat, nuts/seeds, dairy, veggies, and fruit. I just CANNOT gain any more weight. I cannot!

I figured I've been doing low carb since Monday and have to do one week or pre-op, so that means 11 weeks of 'dieting' before the sleeve. I can do anything for 11 weeks. And if I stick with it and then add in pre-op, 3 weeks of liquid diet post-op, and a month or so of getting used to my sleeve, that equals 18 weeks, and I could be entering 2013 weighing 50 lbs less than I do now!

      Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

        Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...
