Canada Rocks

Recommended Posts

It just occured to me how much we have grown here. I am sure, and if I'm wrong I'm sure Mandi and Yoda will let me know, but, I can remember when our little corner was less then 100 posts. Now we are over 3,000!!

Way to go everyone, for making our little Canadian Corner a great place for support!!!

And yeah, Cloe, I know what you're sayin'. Way back when I joined, there was NO action here in the Canadian area, but now, we're CLEANIN' up! LOL Everytime I come on, there's something from one of you guys in the "Latest Post' thingy at the top! It's awesome.

Yup...I've been reading....I'm a lurker I guess! There have been many ups and downs with my band....but I wouldn't have it any other way. No other way in my life I could have lost 150lbs. and am keeping it off!

I've been doing alot of research and putting alot of time into arranging for Plastic Surgery these days. I'm getting a Full Abdominoplasty and Breast Reduction/Lift with Lipo Nov. 9th. I am excited, scared, terrified...etc.etc.!! :cry

I'm glad someone watched the CBS show RockStar Supernova too!!

I'm not so crazy! Just love Canadian talent!!

Rina xoxo

I am so exited for you Gypsy. Many years ago after I had loss a huge amount of weight, I had abdomiplasty. I didn't know that put all the weight back on plus. Even though I put all this weight on, I never regretted the Tummy Tuck.< /p>

You Go Girl!!!!

Only now you know the weight will never come back

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
