Well tomorrow is the day and I'm extremely nervous. I still can't believe I have made the decision to have this procedure done but I am excited and I'm looking forward to living a new and healthier lifestyle. I hope and pray everything goes well. Congrats!!! Good luck tomorrow you will do great. I recommend laying down and getting up several times today, cause you'll miss it for awhile untill the soreness is gone.

Good luck to you! If you start crying, it's totally normal. It's fear of the unknown. But it'll change your life, for sure! Best always!

I am scheduled at 11:30 am tomorrow as well. I may be nervous tomorrow but now just hungry. Been on Clear Liquids since midnight last night and nothing after midnight tonight. Been sucking on a piece of rhubarb with a little salt. I know the salt is bad but it satisfies the hunger.

You will be a rock star. You'll black out for a bit, wake up on lovely meds and you won't even remember it. I had so much anxiety. 4 months and I only regret not exercising more...my eating is so under control and feel great. I had no complications and could have gone home same day. Mild pain, was off IV the day after...up and walking. Drinking was weird, but it all went in comfortably. Just gradually ate more ang here I am. Sw 202 cw 170 after 4 months

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
