Isopure- Liquid Protein

I drink one everyday. I like the zero carb & 40 gram protien and 20oz liquid I get from it. This place has the variety pack for $39 I order 3 at a time to get free shipping. Some one did describe it the other day as drinking "fruit flavored dryer lint" which cracked me up but I guess it's different for everyone.

Honestly, everyone has to try one at least once. Everybody talks about it, so you should know what we're talking about.

It serves it's purpose very well, if you can drink it. Some say to mix it with crystal lite, and that helps quite a bit.

You can buy singles at Vitamin Shoppe in the cooler area. People have strong reactions to different flavors to strongly suggest that you get one of several flavors and try them out. If you find one you like, then you can buy more. I found them to be a lifesaver early on...haven lost any hair at nearly four months out. I may still lose it, but attribute lack of loss so far as being religious about getting lots and lots of Protein in the early days. Even if I didn't "like" the flavor of something

Hated all flavors but drank them religiously first two weeks as per my doctors orders. Second week I cut them with crystal light...MUCH better. They're too expensive for me for day to day. A little over $5 a piece at GNC although I haven't shopped around and they may be cheaper elsewhere....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
