magee2318 6 Posted August 21, 2012 Having a really hard time getting in my Protein Shakes and Water in general...feels like a huge tightness in my chest...other than that I feel great, just wondering if it ever goes away? If so, when does it get better? Any tips on how to get through this? Struggling because it hurts
612belly 32 Posted August 21, 2012 Hi. I'm 4-5 days out too! I can only have clears until day 7 post op appointment. I would kill for a Protein shake! If you are using a straw try with out and maybe go even slower if you can! You can do it!! How's your pain??
Newbeginning 12 Posted August 21, 2012 Was sleeved 8/13/12. Seems to get a little better each day. Was having hard time getting everything down at 4 days myself. My program said to do best you could and do not get dehydrated most important!! Just got all my Protein and fluids in for 1st time yesterday :-) and have not gotten dehydrated. magee2318 6 Posted August 21, 2012 My pain is fine, it's just the tightness after drinking! I am not drinking out of a straw, just a cup...I think today was just a hard day because it's the reality that I cannot do it like I used to and I am discouraged this is how it will be forever :/ Hi. milkD 37 Posted August 21, 2012 Make sure you are sipping very very slowly. Take breaks between sips. I couldn't drink much at first either. I know that tightness too but now 4-weeks out I only feel it with heavy food, not drinks. So yes you will get better. 1 runner reacted to this
