On A Major Stall, But With Multiple Nsvs This Week

Recommended Posts

I went to Knotts berry Farm on Friday. I had not been for 2 years because I was a millimeter from not being able to fit into the rides. This time there was room to spare! I couldn't even get the bar over my stomach in the bumper cars and there was plenty of room to spare. I ran everywhere and only had enough when the temp reached 105 and I had gone on Xcelerator twice.

I went into Goodwill and found size medium tops and size 10 jeans and shorts. They now almost fit. The pants I mean. I am wearing medium tops.

I went into target and got this cute little dress off the rack and it fit beautifully. It was the first time I have worn a dress in AGES. We went grocery shopping after church and the girl at the deli counter looks at me and says, "Have you lost weight? You look incredible!"

That made my day and I told her so. I didn't even think she remembered me from week to week.

Congrats on your compliments and your success! I remember going on a plane trip and having to ask for a seatbelt extender. When I travel again, I will feel like you - able to buckle up with room to spare.

Forgot to mention the other NSV. My husband and I are going to get our marriage blessed and I fit into the dress I wore when we first got married 10 years ago.

My daughter took one look at the dress and told me I needed a new one. Yes, this one is out of style and has crinoline under the skirt part, but it's symbolic to get back into that dress.

Here's a pic from 10 years ago if I can figure out how to load it.

I love Knotts more than Disneyland or Six Flags. I don't like Six Flags AT ALL. I was going to say that you must get the boysenberry pie, but I forgot where the hell I was!

I was still able to get some of their fried chicken. Two wings don't make a dent in the daily count. Had that for Breakfast. The pie is out of the question. Seriously! 500 calories a piece!!! ACK!!!!

Think it's hard eating out at normal restaurants, try an amusement park. I went to Johnny Rockets and ordered a grill chicken sandwich without the bread and mayo, tore it up and made a salad out of it. Took one sip of a chocolate malt. Almost died of pleasure. Glad I seem to have control over this. It stopped at one sip.

Do please give your opinions on the wedding dress. No hurt feelings here.

Sorry I didn't mention the dress! As someone who just got married 10 months ago, and looked at a lot of dresses, that dress does not appear out of date to me. I find it beautiful. Also, for you to be able to wear it to renew vows, is great!

Thanks! It was a prom dress left over from the May rush at J.C. Penny. Already marked down and I had a coupon LOL! I think it cost me $40.

Some might find that tacky, but scoring deals gives me a rush ;-) It has an open back. I can't believe it fits!

I don't think the dress looks 10 years old - it seems pretty current to me! I say go for it. How exciting! Congrats.

Thanks all! I'm going to take the money I would spend on a new dress and buy a kayak!

i was scared as to what the dress could be when you said crinoline, but no! it's still gorgeous. not faddish or with telltale signs as to exactly when you got married the first time. congrats!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
