Michele T 48 Posted August 19, 2012 What do you know about this product? Is this something we can use if we can't get all out Protein in? http://www.pureprotein.net/pages/products.aspx?sku=018907
soccermomx2 111 Posted August 19, 2012 The only thing I have heard about these Protein shots was that the ones containing collagen are not good. That information I found on this site. My dr & NUT told me only whey Protein with less then 5 carbs. I use Premier Protein...I like it best very cold. Hopefully one of the experts will have more information...I will be 5 wks on Tuesday. prnces228 18 Posted August 19, 2012 I got them figuring if I was having issues getting all Protein in I would use them. I tasted one and it is like syrup.... Sweetness and thickness!!! Blah!!!!! I did decide that I would use them by added a couple ounces to my crystal light and it made that taste like a Popsicle. Really over powered the flavor of the crystal light. I didn't mind it mixed up the flavored and gave me some extra protein. I wouldn't buy them again but will try to use what I have already in this way! 1 NtvTxn reacted to this
NtvTxn 1,262 Posted August 23, 2012 I got one in my 'going away goodie bag' the day I went home. I hated EVERY SINGLE Protein Powder I tried. I took three different ones back to GNC. The bullets saved me. The whey Protein is probably 'the gold standard' but my physician said these are fine. I never had a hair issue and was healthy. IDS brand at GNC is 42 grams of protein in just a little over 3 oz. I'd hold my nose and take a couple of sips 3x's a day, rinse my mouth out afterwards. Beat the heck out of a big Protein Shake that took me three hours to gag down. I started getting ALL my protein with food by two months out. Cottage cheese, eggs, tuna, Cod fish, chicken. I still keep a bag of frozen shrimp, it's easy to steam and easy to eat!
