TxMimi 16 Posted August 18, 2012 When I went in Thursday to stRt stRt surgery I weighed 215 now they weighed me this AM & I weigh 221!!! Is it v/ c of all the IVs. I still have a Cather in so I know I'm peeing a lot. Any thought / siggestiona why I would weigh more? Thanks everyone!
DEZ1975 170 Posted August 18, 2012 You almost always weigh more from the Fluid they pump in through your IV. They say to expect about 5lbs gain. You'll lose it all as soon as you're home. 1 samsmom reacted to this

going to make this work 0 Posted August 18, 2012 Had my sleeve done on 8/15..yea, but boy do the angry stomach get to me, even drinking a Protein Shake, I sip too much and its like the Water bubbler effect...I think I burped like 5 Times in a row, any one else? Oh and yea I still weigh the same, waiting for that first drop of weight to fall off.
annab 6 Posted August 18, 2012 I was sleeved on Thursday. I drank cold tea today and it was a big mistake... my mouth filled with saliva and I dry heaved for 15 minutes. This is tougher than I thought it was going to be. I keep looking at the finish line, though, and that makes it easier. I am sore, thirsty, etc. Also, I didn't sleep well last night,a t all. going to make this work 0 Posted August 19, 2012 Well at least I know where all the global warming is comming from...all the gas we Gs members are putting out. I don't know about arm gas, but the other area just south of the arm....yea, I'm finding new ways to discreetly pass gas. Oh and has anyone found they have to wait 30 min after any type of consumption to even lean back??? What's a good position to sleep in besides your back? LizEac 32 Posted August 19, 2012 I was sleeved on Friday night. Huge gas bubbles, lots of pain and neausa! Anyone who says this is the easy easy way out is sorely mistaken! Ugh! Can't wait to feel better! 2 VerticalMorey and samsmom reacted to this
VerticalMorey 31 Posted August 19, 2012 Walk walk walk and sip sip sip. My surgery was mon 8/13 and I still have gas pains but walking and burping really helps. Sipping as much as you can releases a lot of gas also. Hope this helps good luck
