Irregular Periods "/

Recommended Posts

Mine are different its goin to be a year without a period (oct).Ive gone to my obgyn and she said it could be because of my weight..ive had bloodwork done and EVERYTHING has came out good..pap smear,A1C,thyroid,STDs,iron,cholestrol,vitamin D...I had an appt for a sonogram but wasnt able to go because of my job(points)...i was not so concerned when younger but now i someday want to have a child..i started my period at the age of 12yrs nd been regular till 18 from there it went down it started every other month then every other 3 to 4month and this time almost a year without it,so my obgyn perscribed me "provera" to have my period once so it would clean out(build up)..Ive finshed my meds and still nothing... hopefully it is because of my weight..surgery date sept 14th at 7am..

I have the same problem. Been going for about a year-ish. I haven't had mine in about 100 days now. My GYN says it is my weight too and is afraid to put me back on birth control because of my weight. What is the most annoying is that everytime I mention it they make me get a HCG bloodtest to make sure I am not pregnant. I know I am not pregnant and REFUSE to continue paying $80 for that darn blood test.

I sure hope the surgery helps us. I know when I was lighter my period was very regular. I can't believe I miss getting my period. (I never have cramps so it's really not bad)

Im on estrogen and birth control. My cycles are still bad. The doctor did not want to do the DNC after all. She said my lining needs to be build up. I lost my appetite. Im forcing myself to eat and drink . All the bleeding and pain makes me not want food. If I want to get heal I got to get the Protein and Water in. Im going to do what it takes.

I wish everyone good health .

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
