I did also. Just a few, I craved the salt. Surgery went okay for me.

I would check your doctors pre-op diet guidelines. Every doctor is different. I had 2 weeks of liquid only.

I had the lap band and then four years later had the vertical sleeve. I never followed the pre op diet.
