My favorite.....thing has to be the way clothes fit me now. Wow clothes look so much better when your not super squeezing into them.

My least favorite....hmm this is kind of hard, because I feel like tracking my food is such a drag and so is the 60-70 grams of Protein a day thing, but I do now how crucial they are to my success. So that's not gonna change anytime soon.

Favorite thing....I'm just getting to the point where I catch my reflection in the mirror and say "who is that?"

Least favorite.....all my favorite clothes are too baggy.

It's funny, even though I KNOW I was fat...until I saw myself in a picture, the way I look 117 pounds lighter is how I always "saw" myself when I looked in the mirror. I know it's weird!

As far as the clothes go, I bought a lot a Goodwill and I still do.

Favorite- all the benefits and it not being anything as scary as thought it would be- from the initial operation pain to the new way of eating.

Least favorite- and this has always been my way...I'm lazy so I don't like keeping track of things on paper- but I must make sure I do what should- Water and Protein wise. When you're not hungry you could literally forget to drink/eat for hours.

I hear what your saying about "forgetting" to eat. And to think, I used to get pi**ed when someone would tell me they "forgot" to eat. I could have throttled them..now I get it!

My favorite thing is how skinny my body is now.

My least favorite thing is that I need a face lift because I have jowls and a droopy face. :(

Favorite thing: Today, it's my waist. And the fact that I got hit on Saturday night while I was out with the girls.

Least Favorite: It's gonna sound strange, but getting hit on more is sending my head into a tailspin. I could handle it better as a big girl than I can as a medium girl and I don't know why.

I've got some sags and bags I'd like to take care of too!

Favorite: The weight loss, seeing my clothes get looser and looser!

Least favorite: The stalls! Also, remembering to eat, and drink enough. Amazing.

This might sound weird but... today I am thankful for being less wasteful. When I was heavy I would just try and eat everything so I didn't waste food/money. Now that I am thinner I notice that I work harder to make good use of the foods that we have. Like making Pasta sauce with the tomatoes from the garden and pickles with the cucumbers. Trying new recipes that use what I have. I am being less lazy about it. Before if we didn't use bread before it was moldy I would just throw it out and not sweat it. Now I am pro-active and make the family some French toast for supper before it goes bad.

My least favorite thing today is saggy skin that acts like my old fat "muffin top" hanging over my pants.

Thanks! I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. But, I'll get there! I've never been shy, as EVERYONE on VST can attest to! LOL

Favorite thing: I like how I fit into clothes, chairs, seatbelts, rides, everything.

Least favorite: The bad breath I get from drinking Protein shakes.

Favorite thing: Being able to keep up with my daughter, sitting in floor without my back hurting, walking around in general without getting out of breath, sitting in chair that I used to could not sit in comfortably, having to pull the car seat up because I feel like I am a hundred miles from the steering wheel, having people not recognize me and then seeing the look on their faces when I am finally recognized.

Least favorite thing: my thighs applaud when I run!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
