Was sleeved in August 13. I am finding it super hard to get my fluids in, and also when I drink I get these chest pains. My stomach is rumbling CONSTANTLY!! It feel like there is a cell phone in my stomach constantly ringing. Anyone else had issues with this?

I was sleeved on 8/9. The chest pains are normal. I am pretty sure it's the gas trying to come out. It finally subsided for me yesterday or the day before. I am able to er much bigger drinks in now. Thank goodness. The first four days were the hardest and then I turned a corner. Feeling much much better now.

Yup, that desribes me pretty well. I was sleeved one week ago and it's gotten a lot better. I have trouble tolerating plain Water and cold drinks so I've used a lot of crystal light and Mio and G2 Gatorade. It's kind of a learning curve to figuring out your new stomach, try small sips and if it hurts, breath through it and try something else! Today I was able to drink plain water without pain, it does get better!!

How much walking are you doing? That helps alot with the gas pain. For about a week and a half post op i would get a pain that would shoot up into my left shoulder from my abdomen with every drink i took. It eventually went away too.

Yes - had the same thing. The two things that helped me the most:

- walking

- acid-reducer (I take nexium)

Also try to limit the amount of air u take in when u drink...

Good luck!

I have been walking a lot, the hospital nurses called me their marathon runner. I came home yesterday, and got some over the counter gas relief called phagozyme. It really helped! Another sleever cued me in on this, no more shoulder pain or chest pain. I get occasional chest pain when I drink sips fast or back to back. I am finding it very hard to get my liquids in....but I seem to tolerate broth better than Water? Oh well as long as I'm drinking right? Things are much better today. Thanks for all the advice :)
