Top Weight? Goal Weight?

Mmmm cheesecake.. lol my downfall though is chips! I don't discriminate.. I love them all.. lol but I'm assuming I won't be able to eat those for a while or ever again... I go into a crazy zone when I'm eating my chips.. and nobody better throw off my groove.. I'll hurt ya! hahaha :P

Omg I was just thinking that chips and dips is what I'm gonna miss the most!

I'm glad to know it is possible. I'm 5'1" and started at 279. I want to be between 130-140, and my doctor said 160 was more reasonable.

Boy, my body stuck at 160 exactly for nine stinking weeks! It didn't want to move past what had been a previous low weight. But I hung in there and kept on and eventually broke through it. I think I blew through the 150s in only four weeks. So what I'm saying is keep going and it happens. There's absolutely no reason you can't keep going as long as you like, until 100% of your excess weight is gone. Once your sleeve is a year old, it's as big as it's getting.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll blow past your doctor's more conservative goal if you work at it.

So I am 6'3 and started at 431. I am currently at 343. I picked 230 but would be ok at 250. When I was 22 y/o and running I weighed 210 and could count all my ribs. I am pleased so far. Hopefully some more guys will chime in.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
