When can I take a bath?

I am a little over 3 weeks post op and I am dying for a HOT bath. Does anyone know when it is safe to soak in Water. Stitches are doing well, and the smaller incisions are pretty much healed, but the larger incisions are not quite healed yet.

My doctors let me take a shower after 24h but I had that suture glue stuff

Yes, I have been able to take showers since the day after my surgery. I am referring to a good, long, hot, soaking bubble bath

Two weeks is what my doctor told me, but I didn't have external stiches.

No, you don't want to take a bath yet. You only think you want one.

You need to make sure that your are completely healed before you imerse yourself in Water. That means no baths, no swimming, no deep-sea scuba diving until you are completely healed. Typically 6 weeks.

You do NOT want yucky germs getting inside your body.
