That's why we ate, we were subsuming our actual desire to BONE *rotflmao*. My bf was *ahem* quite a bit younger than myself and lean and well, young enough that it was never a question of his being able ready and willing ... ^_^ aaaanywayyy, I matched him! On another note,

Does anyone know if there are any studies out there linking the chemicals that are released by intense exercise and libido? When I was training crossfit and running I became an absolute tigress and had. my. WAY.

Yup. Hormones released during intense exercise have been shown to increase drive and libido in both men and women. There are plenty of studies out there regarding this. It's both psychological and physiological as well, both mind and body.

Do we know which hormones exactly? Is it just testosterone or are there others? T gets all the credit but I know there are other major chemicals at play..

Sex is definitely a lot better after being sleeved. My wife told me she is going to start doing more aerobics and yoga so she can keep up with me.

I spent the last 20 minute reading this thread start to finish. I dropped my water bottle about half way. I don't have a sleeve date yet but I can't wait to see the little guy again. I already have a high sex drive so I'm hoping post-op will be a crowd pleaser. lol

Have to agree. Pre-op I had lost 45 lbs and even then "my guy" mentioned the fact of me becoming more flexible. I will be 4 weeks post-op on Monday and am still enjoying and can't wait until I am completely skinny to have even more fun!

My testosterone is through the roof and my sex drive is higher than it has ever been. Too bad my years of obesity destroyed my self confidence and i suck at meeting girls.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
