laurenpaige333 0 Posted August 15, 2012 I I started soft foods yesterday and the only thing I've tried really so far is a 1 egg omelette and a sprinkle of ff cheese. Am I supposed to get full after a couple of bites? Because I can't eat the whole egg but about half of it, in like a 30 min setting. Kinda freaking out! Love the egg though
Marty McSkinnystein 342 Posted August 15, 2012 I just asked this because I was the opposite. I was able at 1 month to eat a whole piece of whole wheat toast with an egg. The answers varied. Mostly people were like you- not able to do the whole thing yet at this point. Wasn't that the most delicious thing in the world though- after all that time on liquids/purees?! Each week I feel like I can eat a little more, but it still amazes me how little I need before I get full. Isn't it crazy? My eyes still haven't caught up to the size of my stomach. Izuri 428 Posted August 15, 2012 I had the same experience. Each week I feel like I can eat a little more, but it still amazes me how little I need before I get full. Isn't it crazy? My eyes still haven't caught up to the size of my stomach. My eyes still think my stomach is still pre-op size. Every time I go to get food I'm like well of course I could handle this much! It's like nothing. And then halfway through I'm like ohhh....can't eat the rest. It's really pretty goofy. 1 justmeandmysleeve reacted to this
jennlhp 39 Posted August 15, 2012 I'm really confused about the food stages. I'm pre-op obviously. The first 2 weeks I'm on full liquids, then solids. I was told solids mean purée? I can image purée 'ing meats. Yuck!

I was concerned about that too. meat paste sounded sooo gross !

And, occasionally, things you loved you can't even stand to smell.
