Looking For A Buddy...

Recommended Posts

I'm 12 weeks post op and am trying to connect with people who have a similar approach to this journey. I am pretty much by the books, on the plan, trying to get to my goal every day. I've lost 58 lbs in just over three months, but have another 57 to go. I would love to find others taking the same approach with fitness and diet - I have a lot to learn still! Mary

Mary...like you, I'm also a "by the book" person. I've been working hard at the gym, walking 45 minutes twice a day, and doing Water aerobics (an hour twice a day). Unfortunately, I've developed some issues with my left hip, and am unable to do much at the gym for a couple weeks. (Its killing me!! LOL) I'd love to know what you've been doing, in terms of working out.

I've also been "by the book" since surgery. I'm eating high Protein low carb diet and exercising. I'm 9 weeks post op and have lost 49lbs and have another 67lbs to go.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
