barkley 0 Posted September 13, 2006 :help: Hello all, For the past few nights I have been experiencing some severe pain that spreads from under my breast/upper chest, right around my back and back to the breast/upper chest area. The pain at times in my back is excrutiating and it feels like someone is physically squeezing and squeezing me. The pain is not nearly as bad in the day but it sure comes on at night. I had my band on 22 May and am not sure if it is a band thing or a muscle thing. Is it possible for food to sit above the band and have trouble going through and then when it tries to go through cause this pain??? Or would anyone suggest it is a muscle thing??? I have been living on some strong drugs to knock me out at night so I can sleep but I feel like a zombie. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Barkley. jahair 0 Posted September 13, 2006 PLEASE get this checked out by your doctor ASAP. No one should have to be in that kind of pain for a minute longer than necessary. Pain at that level is NOT normal -- don't wait another day please.

barkley 0 Posted September 13, 2006 Yes - still have a gall bladder. Find it so strange that it is so much worse at night. Barkley
jahair 0 Posted September 13, 2006 I did a little looking around the Internet about gall bladders and found a very interesting site called Medicine Net.com They have some really interesting things to say about the pain of gall bladder disease. Gall stones can be side effect of rapid weight loss. Click here: Educational information on Gallstones produced by medical doctors It occurs to me that maybe the reason you feel so badly at night might be the position you are lying in while you sleep. If there is a gall stone maybe it gets stuck when you are in that position. Obviously we are not medical doctors. Our opinions are just "some good ideas" from the peanut gallery. You really have to make the time to talk to the doctor and follow up from that end. Please do so and write back and let us know what you found out.
