ROYGBIV 1 Posted August 14, 2012 I had my surgery last summer, it's been about a year and two months since then and I've lost 85lbs and have passed my goal weight (my goal was 130, I am down to 120). However, I am finding it difficult to maintain this weight. I gain 10lbs, lose 10lbs, and my body just seems to be very sensitive overall to any excess (or lack of) calories...it is driving me nuts because I do not want to be obsessing over calories all the time. I have also noticed I am able to eat more and more as the months wear on--my doctor has warned me against eating too many bread products, Pasta, rice, soda, etc... anything that expands while being digested may cause my stomach to stretch out again. I had been doing very well avoiding those things up until the last two months (I am studying in France..and who can avoid eating bread here?). I think that is the culprit and I would like to be eating smaller portions than I currently am in order to more easily maintain my weight. Has anyone run into a similar problem and felt the need to "re-shrink" their stomach? I have heard some tips about going on a liquid diet again for a week or two to shock your system and shrink things down again. I am considering doing that but was wondering if anyone has any advice or experiences to share.
