Just Curious......what Would You Like To See?

Recommended Posts

For so long i've been overweight and in being so I can't tell you the last time I've really SEEN parts of my body. I use to enjoy things like painting my toenails. Now I have to bend and damn near perform acrobatics to even get a good look at my feet. Shaving my WhoHaw has also become an acrobatic task. Trying to steady the mirror in one hand and the razor in the other.....I tell you it's exhausting. I'm probably lucky to still be alive and not have bleed from severe lacerations!!! I've almost completely managed to build a shed over my "tools"! I can hardly wait for the day to be able to get a good look at some of those "things" i've lost touch with. I know this may be going a little to far and into details, but when I'm with my hubby, what's the fun when I can't position myself "up there" and get a good look at what's going on down there!!! I tell you, carrying around this whole other person has become mentally and physically exhausting. I can't wait for my sleeve! Just out of curiousity, what would you like to see.

I agree completely! Shaving has become some crazy contorted gymnastics act. I'd also like to see my toes when I stand up and look straight down - on that matter, i'd like to be able to easily reach them to paint my toenails.

I can so relate to this post. I have just recently been re-introduced to my lady parts. :-)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
