Giselle3264 175 Posted August 13, 2012 I've read so many posts from people who are discouraged with their weight loss because they're comparing themselves to others on the forum. No, we shouldn't do that, but we ALL do. I'm hoping this will help. Instead of looking at just the number of pounds someone has lost, look at the PERCENTAGE of their original body weight they've lost. For example, someone who weighed 400 pounds and lost 100, has lost 25% of their body weight. Great job! But if another person weighed 260 pounds and loses 65 pounds, they've also lost 25% of their body weight. That's also a great job! Yes, gender, age, and biochemistry also matter. But hopefully this will help you put things in perspective. I try to remember this when I'm comparing myself to someone else. Continued success to you! 5 DanaInNewOrleans, jennrus, CantBelieve_IdidIit! and 2 others reacted to this
IMSKINNY 160 Posted August 13, 2012 I've always been one to lose lots of inches and less weight. I would be happy with that!
