anaustin 7 Posted August 12, 2012 So my surgery was August 1st and I still feel plenty of discomfort in my body I'm almost out of pain meds and I've been taking the lowest dose possible to ween myself off of them. The problem is pre surgery Tylenol use not do much for me. So my question is to help alleviate some of the aches what can I take??
612belly 32 Posted August 12, 2012 Go ask for a shot of Toradol it's an anti inflammatory.
AliveAgain 283 Posted August 12, 2012 I was the same, never bought Tylenol before surgery because it didn't do squat. But I found it did help (some, not a lot) when I needed it for aches/pains. Children's liquid, of course.
lollyfidy1965 402 Posted August 12, 2012 Liquid Tylenol is the only thing I am allowed to take. I can tell you, prior to surgery, Tylenol wouldn't have touched my lower back pain. Since surgery, I've had low back pain twice, and just 3 tsp (yes...tsp...not TBSP!) took care of the pain for me. You might try it before you give up on it...you might be as surprised as I was! Best of luck! 1 zenoosh reacted to this

DEZ1975 170 Posted August 12, 2012 Children's chewable grape did it for me!
joyful noise 101 Posted August 12, 2012 I am allergic to Tylenol and ibuprofen. I can't have aspirin or Aleve after surgery. I guess I will just have to endure.
