I haven't tried it...yet, but i've heard that you can bludgeon someone to death with a frozen leg of lamb, roast it and feed the evidence to the cops when they come! If i hear of any more i' let you know, as a public service. heheheh
neenagh 0 Posted September 19, 2006 my little orange car hasn't moved to the right in days and days, almost a week
angel bear 2 Posted September 19, 2006 Hi Neenah, My bear hasn't gone for a short walk in a while either. I'm stuck but I need a fill. I'm not getting it until 17 Oct. I don't know if it's normal to wait that long after surgery but I don't feel much restriction anymore. I'm trying to stick to it but the temptations are getting stronger - as my stomach grumbles more. Work and school is very busy too so that doesn't help. My history assignments are due this weekend and I'm not thru my abstract - stuck! Oh well, I know it will come. But it's cramming it into the other fun stuff. Have a great week and good luck getting that little car to move. Roxanne
neenagh 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Hey Angel Bear, at least your little bear has moved farther than my dumb little car! maybe i should dump it and get a bear! btw i dont miss school a bit! good luck with your paper!
angel bear 2 Posted September 20, 2006 Thanks. Slow going tonight. I'm struggling with words - guess I'm just not in the mood. I figure with the added gym time (I'm at 3 x a week) it should kick start the bod again. (cross my fingers). Have a great week... I figure I'll be at the books for the next few days to get the assignment done - oh what punishment! I love history so I guess it was self inflicted!
CLOE 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Hey angel bear, hang in there. If you don't have much restriction yet, try eating bulkier foods, and stay away from the mushier food that will slide through easy. Oct 17 is just a few weeks away, then it will be so much easier to control. Hang tight!!

angel bear 2 Posted September 20, 2006 Thanks Cloe, I changed it around to add some oatmeal - and it seemed to work today - not hungry. I added some crystal light - just to change flavor of Water and diluted it more than asked - and that helped too. I think I also have to stay away from the scales and only weigh in once a week. I seem to becoming obsessed with the numbers although I do feel the clothes are fitting differently these days. I can relate to the baggy feeling in the bottom. Neenah - I love the bunny! and looks like the food choices are great. It will move - maybe we'll see results in a few days
neenagh 0 Posted September 20, 2006 hey angelbear, i find it impossible to stay away from the scale! i'm on there several times a day.
CLOE 0 Posted September 21, 2006 Ya I keep my scale on my keychain...........just kidding, but I'd like to. I can't stay off it!!
neenagh 0 Posted September 21, 2006 lol cloe, i just had a mental picture of you hauling around a scale on a teenie tiny key chain, kids getting on the bus tripping over it, dropping it on peoples toes...
green 6 Posted September 21, 2006 I am starting to wonder whether I should buy myself a scale. I've never owned one and for years - since I was 25 years old - I didn't know my weight. Whenever I had to be weighed I would ask that I not be told. I knew that I was getting fatter and fatter by the sizes of the clothes I was buying and by looking in the mirror, something I was only doing by accident over the past decade. (Ugh!) I weighed myself the morning of my operation at the TLBC. Naturally, I didn't like the news but then I wasn't expecting to. Now I have finished my second week of post-op diet, my gut is still big, but people say that my face looks thinner. I am at the point where I am starting to feel like I am starving, especially at night (I am a nightime eater), and I am impatient to see that gut start to deflate. There is a lot of action at first: the op, the first week of post-op when a grrl is going through a lot of big time recovery, and then the thrill of being able to eat Soup. Now I am feeling healthy, bored and hungry, and yet I haven't healed enough to go to the gym and work off some of my frustrations that way. And I can't meet any of my friends for lunch! Oops! This ended up being a long post, eh.

This ended up being a long post, eh. gee green, i'm sorry your feeling bored and hungry. Are you at least a little less hungry than bb (before band)? Maybe you should get a scale, cuz i know for myself, i can't really see a difference yet, but i have lost. Seeing the numbers moving helps to keep my spirits up and motivation high. Also, not having a scale may have helped get you into trouble, maybe having one will be another tool besides the band to help you get out of trouble:p just my opinion btw, which has been known to be very wrong!
