Hi Green!

Hi Dame, I have to call and make an appt. I have to take the whole day off work for it and they are being a**holes. I got a letter saying that i used 6.5 sick days last year, and that i was on probation. I told them that I had surgery and that took three of the sick days, and i had given them a letter for it and had it approved! sheesh! So i'm trying to figure out a way to go without using a sick day. They also give a hard time about using vacation days....

Argon, I had a "tossing" spree, and dont have any fat clothes left! I'm such a dumb ass sometimes!

Green i can eat ANYTHING too

Some employers are soooo stupid. The hospital I work for tell us we can't take vacation because we're always short staff and at the end of the year we get a letter saying that all of our vacation must be taken and that we can't carry over our vacation.

that would really piss me off too. I mean you had a letter from the Dr. It's not like you just took random sick days. Are you given a certain amount of sick days. I think I get 10 a year and I know I have used 5 because of the surgery, if anyone said I was using too many I would freak right out.

That's crazy. I wonder if they'd be able to do fills on the weekend? They really SHOULD do that anyways... it would be so much more convenient for lots of people.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
