Neenagh's Nutty Nattering

or waiting in parking lot of the grocery store in a friends truck with mud on the licence plate and plowing her vehicle and just driving off!.

That's a good idea. Do you know, then, if YOU hit someone in a parking lot, can you just drive away, without reporting anything!? (sounds like what happened, I just can't imagine that being LEGAL!)

Okay let me start by saying my ticker is a lie. I have gained like two lbs.

I am hungry, i am eating too much, and i hate myself for my lack of self control. I have some restriction, but if i eat slow, i can get a lot down. Plus, I'M HUNGRY ALL THE TIME.

I'm going for another fill on thursday, but in the meantime, I have decided to start counting carbs again. :) I have been faithfully logging my intake on fitday, and i average about 1200 cals a day. It seems that if i eat like a normo eating carbs, i can't lose.

Oh, well, it was fun while it lasted.:) So starting tommorrow, LOW carb and lots of Water.

I know what you mean Neenagh, some days i seem to be so hungry, and other days a little food fills me. Hang in there Neenagh, things hopefully will get better after your fill on Thursday.

Maria :)

Yes the next fill will help. We should have some self-control, but we shouldnt have to kill ourselves trying to access it. fill, fill, fill.

I'll be waiting to hear on Thursday (or more like friday or later) how the fill is workin'! Hopefully you won't have to keep countin' those carbs

Rained like the dickens the whole way, thank god mr. neenagh came and drove. my sis couldnt meet me at the doctor's so i had noone to hold my hand during the procedure. well, mr. n offered but the way it went, they would have had to scrape him off the floor!

Mumford was pleased with the 4 1/2 lb loss in 5 weeks. I'm not, obviously. I convinced him i needed a fill. Here's where the hairy part comes in.

I lay down, lift my shirt, the usual, and he gets his honking big needle and is chatting away, my eyes closed and trying to remember to breathe. He sticks it in and it makes a loud pop. He says oh, sorry. He jabs again, scrape pop. I start singing the abc's in my head. after the 4th time i actually started to laugh to myself, picturing mr. n if he'd come in sliding down the wall laying in a puddle on floor at the doc's feet.

finally after 6 tries he got it in, pulled out the old saline and said it was bloody, so he changed the syringe-y part (not the needle) and put fresh in. I'm officially at 1.5.

I was so traumatized that i forgot to ask why he had trouble getting into the port and why the saline was bloody.

i was shaking when i left. Told mr. n it was really good that he didn't come in!

I think i have some more restriction which is what i really care about tho, and pretty much will do whatever to get!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
