GoState 12 Posted August 12, 2012 Mine too. And I'm still mad about the mashed potatoes and grits. Go State must be southern, no one else likes grits! Grits are a "staple" here in Mississippi! They are even better with sausage crumbled in them (Which I am NOT doing now LOL).

Magsnlucy 10 Posted August 12, 2012 Hello friends!! I don't want to be a Debbie downer, but stick to your liquids for now!! Trust me I know it's a pain but it will get easier. Have broth it's the best. I still love it being 2amd a half months out. Liquids are the bessstttt option right now. You do not want to go to fast into eating something you shouldn't and get sick. Trust me it's no fun.
Darlene 1 Posted August 12, 2012 Try some watered down grits. I did at 10 days. It helped me feel more full & satisfied. My friends doctor put her on this at day 8. So I did it at day 10. Made me feel so much better. Eat it very slow & do not over eat. I put some Splenda in it. At day 14 I added a small amount of smashed up banana.< /p>

heidihooper 0 Posted August 13, 2012 I love love this thread. I had my surgery on Aug 1. I'm suppose to start soft foods 3 weeks out. I can relate everyone that has posted something. I too get angry when I fix my kids food or when we go out to eat. I have been nibbling on small pieces of protien just because I can't handle it! I am new to this forum. Does anyone know of a support group that had their surgery the first of Aug? Thanks!

jennrus 176 Posted August 13, 2012 I am appalled that people are allowed to have surgery without information. The place I went to had six months of taking classes, attending support groups and reviewing then signing off on information sheets. I wondered why the death across the country is so high but not one at the place I go to and now I know. Come on people, you are responsible for your own success. Why did you do this to begin with? Yes, it's hard but it's temporary. Every day is better than the last. You can do it if you try. It's ok to feel like you feel but it's not ok to put your life in danger for a bite. Think about how crazy that is. 1 pattivalvo reacted to this
