jsbella 3 Posted August 11, 2012 Just found out something really good. My family and I are heading to Disney soon. If people get a card from their doctor re gastric surgery, they can qualify for kids' food rates at buffets and allows people to order off the kid's menu at other places. I called my doctor's office and they said yes it was true. So keep that in mind if you're heading there! 1 mommy794 reacted to this
gustavo52974 369 Posted August 11, 2012 But how many healthful choices are on a kid's menu? Which Disney? Disneyland or Disney World? At Disney World, there are some places in Epcot that have healthful food.< /p>
jsbella 3 Posted August 11, 2012 Disney World. There are healthy items on a child's menu. Some things might need to be modified a bit, but it's the idea of smaller portions that make it worthwhile to me. When at Disney I certainly can't take half of my adult meal home. Plus, any way to save costs appeals to me!
jennrus 176 Posted August 11, 2012 Way to go Disney! Wish more people knew this and more places did this!
made2beme 119 Posted August 11, 2012 Yep, my doc gave me a few of these cards when I left the hospital. I need to put one in my purse, but thought it was cool for any time at any restaurant. Although since my hubby had RNY 3 yrs ago most likely we will order one entree and just share it. But, at times when he is not with me it will be nice to order smaller portions. Have fun at Disney....that is on my 40 to 40 list (40 things to do before I am 40, 4.5 yrs to go)
