want2lose 1 Posted September 12, 2006 I'm pretty excited and can't believe it's really here! I need to go pack a bag to bring with me. My surgeon says that I should be able to go home tomorrow, but to be prepared to stay overnight if necessary. I've read through all the lists, but wanted to see if anyone has anything unusual that came in handy at the hospital. Thanks!
HarleyNana 10 Posted September 12, 2006 Something very comfy to ride home in. I just wore my house coat, not like I was getting out of the car until I got home. I wish you the best, I remember how thrilled I was the night before.

TexasTerry 0 Posted September 12, 2006 I didn't have to stay overnight, but I was inseperable from my heating pad! It felt sooooooo good on my aching back. I really got the gas pains in my shoulder - back area. Also a pillow for the ride home to pad my sore port area. Terry

beachgirl 2 Posted September 12, 2006 You'll be in all of our prayers. It will be over in a blink of an eye. I agree with heating pad, Snacks for whoever will be going with you so they don't have to leave your side. My own pillow was the tops, felt like I was at home. Get your pain meds filled before hand so that when your released you can go straight home, but you probably won't even need them. I only took them to help me sleep. That's all I can think of, Hugs and best wishes, Let us know how things go.
