I think i've heard of one or two on this site with a problem. Go to this website, there's lots of help for systemic yeast overgrowth:

www.yeastinfectionadvisor.com

It helped me get rid of intestinal yeast i'd been battling for years without knowing the root cause of my symptoms. It manifests in ways like oral thrush. Interesting reading...

I also had thrush. I had to take serious doses of antibiotics- 4 different courses of different kinds. It would get better, then come back. I started to gargle with listerine and that helped. The thrush lasted about 6 weeks. Make sure you talk to your doctor, so that you get the right treatment. Good luck.

I have not had it, however I was warned I could get it from the Advair inhalor I was on, well they said any oral steroid inhalor. Do not know if this helps.

It's kinda crazy that antibiotics are given as a cure for yeast, since the antibiotics kill off everything that then allows the yeast to thrive and grow. It's kind of like throwing gasoline on a fire to put it out. The yeast has to be literally starved to death. Take away its food source and it dies. Check out that website I put above. Its very interesting.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
