Hi Everyone. I am new to these boards. I have been working on my sleeve requirements since the middle of July. I have been to the seminar, support group, and first dr's appt. I have my sleep study tomorrow night and my nutrionist visit on the 17th. I am hoping to have surgery at the end of October but if not it will have to be January because there is no way I can get time off of work in November or December. I am a little worried about the sleep study because I am pretty sure that I have sleep apnea and that is the only thing that can slow me down. I have been reading posts on here for awhile and you all have been a lot of help even if you don't know it. So I wish all of you much luck. :)

Lisa

Welcome Lisa. I started my process in mid-July as well. It is quite interesting. Good luck with your sleep study. What will happen if they do diagnose you with sleep apnea?

Actually, having your sleep apnea treated is a really good thing. It will make your healing easier. And really it shouldn't affect your surgery date negatively. It almost always helps with insurance approval.
