Uhh Im stuck on the scale. Im 3weeks post, will be 4 weeks on Monday. Its only showing 13.5 lb loss & over 13 inches. Thats terrible! Im only getting 400-600 calories a day. My doctor wont let me walk or exercise until after 4 weeks.

Any ideas? Has anyone else been like this?

The dreaded 3 week stall. It's a very well known phenomenon in the world of VSG. Some have it a 2 weeks, others at 4 weeks but the majority have it at 3 weeks. Hang in there and keep following your doctor's orders and it will break. I promise.

Same here - 4 weeks Tuesday. Started the stall last week at about 2 1/2 weeks post-op and finally saw some scale movement this morning. Don't know if it'll keep moving, but if I saw the same number AGAIN I was going to go mental.

I'm right there too. Today is 3 weeks and I am down 15 pounds. I weighed in today and only went down 1.6 pounds. I just keep telling myself it is normal since I added a bunch of new stuff this week for food. I know this will pass. Just need to keep positive it will happen. I know I just want me energy!

My surgery date was July 11th and I started at 247lb now 222lb. Remember the slower you lose the weight the better so don't worry everyone is different.

My surgery date was 7/11, so I'm 2 days past 4 weeks. My preop starting weight was 216...surgery day was 203. This morning I weighed in at 185.5. I'm pleased with that.

I did have an early setback with a UTI for Nearly a week. I ran a temp for 5 days and just felt like general crap. It felt like all I did was sleep the first week.

Just a few days ago I started feeling like my old self again. Finally!

I hope all other sleevers are doing well. Stick with it and success will come.

In the hospital right now, 2 days post surgery. I'm nervous that I too will be that one sleever that doesn't lose weight. Didn't lose one pound during Pre-op period, but i didnt follow the diet per se. Was stressed out with my job? My doc said right before I went under that I should lose 40 pounds by week 6. That would be awesome, but we'll see.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
