I have weighed myself before and after on several occasions, imagine the look on my face when I weighed a pound more. If I let it the scale would seem to be the judge, the jury and the executioner to my self-esteem.

I LOVE THIS! Made me laugh! It's comforting to know I'm not the only one who's done this! Because we do dialysis at home for my husband, he has to weigh himself before and after treatment, and the weight after the waste is removed from his blood is called his "dry weight".. So I consider my post BM weight my dry weight. LMAO!

Dry weight. Perfect. I love this forum. I post a bizarre thought and instead of people thinking I am nuts you relate.

My 16 year old brother always likes to weigh before he poops for some reason lol and usually he ends up weighing about 3 pounds lighter or so.

Now - that's desperate! :)

Poop is not created equal. "Healthy" poop will float. High Fiber poop will be the heaviest, because it can hold the most Water.

Unfortunately your question is pretty much impossible to answer (by me anyway). Too many variables. And it would also require a volume to be taken, and I'm so not going there.

A good poop, and all it involves, might relieve you of 0.5 - 1.25 lbs on average. This doesn't answer how much poop weighs (because if you poop a plum vs. a loaf of bread - totally disparity).

All I know is I make sure I've peed, pooped and am wearing my birthday suit when my feet hit that scale. :-)

I have always wondered this too. I tried once after a really good blowout and lost 3+ lbs. But usually a pound plus some.

Drink coffee first....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
